In Finland education is completely free for international student. Finnish higher educational institutions are largely funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.  Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences proffer a large selection of educational programs taught in English. Finnish institutions provide over 450 degree and non-degree programmes in English. Every year Finland receives foreign students from all around the world.

Finland has two types of higher level education system:

•     Universities: Universities provide academic education based on research.
•     Polytechnic University: Polytechnics University  also known as Universities of Applied Sciences which provide vocational education on a higher level and promote applied research.
